How to make a Will and observe social distancing

Write a will - social distancing

Monday, March 23, 2020

All of the uncertainty as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic is making people worry about all sorts of things. It is unsurprising that one of these is their Will.

Often put off as something that can wait for another day, it is only when the idea of illness and death affects us and our families directly that we are moved to action. Unfortunately, at the moment it seems impossible to escape these concepts, whether it be on the radio, TV, internet or in our minds. Added to this is the fact that an unprecedented number of us are now working from home and have time to actually think about getting on top of our ‘life admin’.

If you are considering making or changing your Will, there is currently the additional question and worry of how on earth you go about it without leaving the house to see an advisor, or have an advisor come into your home.

Our Wills, Probate and Trusts team have thought carefully about this and have developed solutions which ensure that you will still get the same excellent service, tailored advice and protection from Samuel Phillips Law, whilst also maintaining social distancing and complying with the latest government guidance.

Give us a call on 0191 232 8451 or send us an email to privateclient@samuelphillips.co.uk. We will work with you to establish the facilities and support that you have at home and the technology that you are comfortable with using. We will then agree a solution that works for you. If you are worried about any practical issues around self-isolation, our team are happy to speak with you about this and provide advice and support.

Please see our Wills, Probate & Trusts page for price information.

If you work for the NHS or have been classified as a key worker then discounts are available on our usual prices.
